Here you will get a tour of this great family cabin on the shore of the Abbagadasett River, just yards from Merrymeeting Bay,
in Bowdoinham, Maine.

Mark & Pam offer this very cozy cabin for your use, by reservation, for a day, a week or a month for your mini get-a-way.

What It Has

This cozy cabin is heated by an old fashioned wood cook stove that has ample cooking surface, a heating rack on top,
a large oven and hot side water tank attached for heating dish water.




It has 4 beds, 2 that are huge double bunks with ample room for 2 people in each one and 2 single beds, one in the bedroom and one in the day room.



It has electricity, refrigerator, microwave and an electric hotplate, all in the day room, along with the kitchen table and a couple of chairs.



There is no running water, but fresh water is provided as needed by the bucket full. There is an outhouse that has recently
been upgraded to a gas fired incinerator, as well as a spare porta-potty inside the cabin.



Out in the front yard, we have a picnic table, gas grill, and open fireplace.



Then there is the fantastic view of the bay and the river...



We take care of furnishing wood, kindling wood, and water...



What It Offers

This cabin is often used in the fall by duck hunters, some that have been coming here for over 50 years
for their chance to hunt the marshes of Merrymeeting Bay

We are located in Bowdoinham, right on the shore of the Abbagadasett River, one of several rivers dumping into the bay.
The bay is only about a 15 minute paddle by water, and is visible right from the front window of the cabin.

The cabin is located on a peninsula with the river on one side and a creek on the other. This is fresh water that
offers good hunting, fishing, or just a great place to explore nature.
We are on a large parcel of land that is mostly wooded, providing good deer, turkey, partridge,
and pheasant hunting in their season as well.

If you are not into the hunting scene, for an additional fee, you can rent a small power boat or canoe to enjoy the waters
all about you, or take hours of nature walks in the marked woodlot.

If you choose to bring your own boat, there is a launch about 400 feet from the front door of the cabin.

Driving Directions: From I-295, take Exit 37, take Ramp to end then turn RIGHT onto SR-125 For 1.0 Miles.
Keep STRAIGHT onto SR-125 [Main St] for 1.3 mi
Bear LEFT (East) onto SR-24 [Main St] for 0.7 mi
Bear RIGHT (East) onto Browns Point Rd for 1.4 mi
Bear left onto Abbagadasett Rd.
Take first driveway on right (#39)

The fees are fixed and are as follows:
$35.00 per night per person.
$15.00 per night per child (5-12 Years old)
Children 4 and under free.
